21303-1 - WALL-E

WALL-E rolls into the LEGO Ideas lineup as a faithful tribute to Pixar's lovable trash-compacting robot. Standing on real rubber-band tracks, this 677-piece build captures WALL-E's boxy body, binocular eyes, and articulated arms in unmistakable LEGO form -- his head tilts, his neck extends, and his arms rotate at the shoulder just like the character on screen. Fan designer Angus MacLane (a Pixar animator himself) brought unusual authenticity to this LEGO Ideas project, and it shows in the small touches: a tiny cockroach companion hides in a compartment on WALL-E's chest, and his solar panel folds out from his back exactly as it does in the film. The set was released in 2015 to mark Pixar's beloved 2008 film and remains one of the most requested Ideas sets among adult builders and Pixar fans alike. At 677 pieces and a compact footprint, WALL-E is an approachable weekend build that rewards display on a shelf or desk -- no minifigures needed, since the character himself is the star. A wonderful pick for Pixar collectors, robot enthusiasts, and anyone who wants a nostalgic slice of movie history in brick form.
